Default LOOKING TO RENT A CAR FOR A WEEK....NEED HELP!

What's going on yall?

I will be (trying) to rent a car for my trip to florida. The issue im having is that they are charging me $110 extra a day since im 24 years of age. That's a freaken total of $900 for a week! Are there any options to explore? Another company? I tried avis, enterprise, and alamo. Im just venting.......it sucks paying extra when im only 8 months away from my 25th bday. Any suggestions? Im in New York Long Island by the way.

Holy Crap! $110 extra PER DAY?!?! That's insane. I had no idea that they charged more for younger drivers. That doesn't seem right. I mean, I can see making sure you either purchase the insurance or have car rental insurance through your credit card, but just charging you a higher price doesn't seem right. I'm surprised it's legal. Have you tried booking your car over the enterprise website to see if it gives you the same rate? Sometimes the local office will try to rip you off but the website will have "set" prices. Once you book it and have a printed confirmation and receipt, they'll have to honor it. It might be worth a shot to see if it's a better rate. Good luck.

Man, thats completely rediculous. I tried what ^^ said to try by going on their website and it seemed to work. It may vary by location but I typed in Denver and 21-24 age range and they were only charging me like 16.49 a day for the intermediate size cars which is the same as the 25+ rate. My guess is if you went in person, the person "helping" you was trying to screw you over for being under 25.
