Default Kaminari Rear Bumper Carbon Fiber Heat Shield?

Hey Guys,

I just picked up my car after having the kit installed and I think I may have a problem with the exhaust angle and the rear. The tip of my exhaust is angled into a part of the bumper and I have some discoloration already after driving my car from Long Beach to Irvine. Dont know if the exhaust can be modified but I was wondering if there is a shield that we can put on the bumper? Thanks for any help,

Cut your back bumper. That's what I had done when I had an angled exhaust with my kami kit.

then I had a custom one-off carbon fiber heat shield made, but I did that part for looks. I could've gotten away without it.

Use a dremel & a cutting wheel & boom! Don't be scared. lol

Thanks for the ideas fellow tC owners. Im gonna have to try the engine bay stuff first before i think about doing the CF shield. Kill Kill do you have the shop that did the custom one?

Nope, it was a friend who did it out here for me when he was working on SEMA cars. He moved back to Florida & now he fixes elevators, & doesn't do carbon work anymore.

whoa, Long Beach to Irvine is only like 20 minutes and its already melting the bumper? you could always try to bend the flanges that hold your exhaust so it doesnt sit so close, or like kiss_kiss_kill said, cut your bumper. carbon fiber heat shields are a bit hard to find at the moment unless you get it custom made.
