Default New tire advice

The original Goodyears on my '06 xB have 42k on them and are all between 4/32 and 5/32" so I'll be looking for tires very soon.

As for a replacement, I would like to find a tire that offers a smoother ride than the Goodyears. I am not concerned about handling as I don't race or drive fast. Long wear would be good too. I live in SC so I don't deal with snow or mud but I would like a tire that still offers good wet traction.

I want to stick with the OEM size as well.

Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions as to a replacement.

Default ...Best BANG for your TIRE DOLLAR....

I just slapped on a set of GENERAL ALTIMAX HP tires. A-A-440 is great and will last longer than the stock tires did. And quieter and much better in wet conditions.
205/60/R15 is the size that I chose. I am lowered on H techs and I want to fill the wheel gap. I am not interested in low profile tires on large wheels. Stock size or slightly larger will work for the XB.
These tires are rated 2nd best in it's catagory, and are cheaper than most tires rated. See this link for ratings:

Tire Rack sells these for $62 plus $38 shipping. I found a place that sold them to me for $68 with free shipping.
Good Tread design? Hit this link for the whole rating chart:
