I would call the insurance people and see if they can do anything, it is damage, but the other car was not damaged... This is a unique situation, just call them and tell them what happened, who knows they may be able to help

Sorry to see that happen to such sweet rims, and that no one was hurt

I am afraid since she hit it there is nothing you can do. if the object that damaged your car was airborn that would be a different story. She would have been better off, from the insurance companies view, to have hit the car. Sorry but I think you may be stuck.

if they are the fake super advans then i wouldnt bother reporting to insurance..just get it repolished yourself...stuff like this on ur insurance records wont help the following yrs rates. its just a rim u know? dont report it. little stuff like that id never report.

the rims are Konig MP3's. I like the look of the rims, even though they are old rims, but I liked the idea of no one having the same rims as me. the center rings were the red/orange color and I painted the rings blue, I use the same blue throughout the vehicle. I was thinking of telling my wife it will cost $150-200 to fix and just get new rims. I don't know, still a little ____ed about the situation but at least my wife is ok.

"rub a little butter on it" j/k i know how you feel. my wife scratched mine too. she can't drive to well though. my wife would have just crashed the car. so, it could be worse.

just have them polished and leave it at that. if you ever come across another rim on ebay then replace it. also IMHO i think your style rims fit the XB nicely. it's sporty yet conservative and bold just like car itself.

good luck on whatever you decide to do.
