Greetings everyone. Tax return time is coming and i need new wheels and tires.

I currently am running on stock steelies, factory tires (almost bald) and have dropped the box on DF210s.

I am thinking of getting Enkei Performance EV5 Hyper Black 17"s, http://www.enkei.com/ev5.html or http://tinyurl.com/busktm (tirerack link)

or MSW Type 16 Black with red stripe - http://tinyurl.com/amv7kz (tirerack link) (in a BSP '06 xB, have red highlights with some stickers)

I really dont know squat about tires and am having a hard time picking some tires to go along with them. I'd like something low-profile, but not low enough that will make city driving like being on concrete wheels. But i dont want them to rub either. Thoughts? anyone have this setup and can comment? Oh, and i live in FL, so i dont really have to worry about cold weather driving or anything.

what would you suggest? I'd like to go for a more "blacked out" type of look, not into the flashy lips or shiny rims.. :[

 

The EV5 arent bad. The MSW won't look good on a box IMO. The EV5 does have a polished lip, which would look better. If you go completely black, they won't look that much different than your steelies rolling down the road or from a distance.

 

Ok, i photoshopped the 2 picks i like, cant make up my mind...

I tried to make the xB in the pic look pretty much like mine, i've got a black xB with very minor red highlights with a sticker here and there..

The red with the 5 spoke looks much better imho. I've never been a fan of even spoked wheels.
