First I would like to say that everytime I see a first gen Xb I flinch -- I miss the BOX - WORSHIP THE BOX
I miss the dash, 1st Gen is way cooler than current dash.
Xb1 "better" looking?
Xb1 -- I wish they would have kept the body and just lowered it on to the guts of the Xb2.

I had my Xb1 for 2 years, I drove it like the Hummer I had before it. Yes I sold a Hummer to by the Xb1. I beat that poor car like a red headed step child. I broke 3 wheels in 2 years and had all of them fixed at one time or another. No I dont live in Iraq, I live in Houston Texas where our Mayor spends money on pretty green parks instead of ROADS...I digress. I had 0 - ZERO - problems with the Xb1. Not a single issue other than changing oil and fixing/replacing wheels. I'd rather not explain why I sold it for a Hemi -- I sold the Hemi, and have been back for a year.

Xb2 - WAY better drive, smooth, tight, quiet, like a real car if you will. Better AC it seems, I miss the color changing radio!
The motor is a real motor I averaged 24.9 and I floor the gas between every stop sign, every car, I don't wait for anything-- seriously -- I just haul ___. Mostly freeway stuff but if I'm in your hood, I appologize now. Its not a race car and I know that but it gets from A to B nicely -Good enought for me.
I can still haul my amp, cab and two guitars -- thats all that matters, no way my speaker cab fits in a trunk of any car.

I have not had any issues with the XB2 other than DEALERSHIP problems:
Scrachted paint on delivery
Leather was crap, had them redo it all
Sunroof now rattles and dome light is hanging by its wires.
They fixed leather a year ago and it still looks great. I still have swirl marks from the dealers' monkey who decided to buff half a quarter panel for a 1/2 inch scratch. If Don McGill wasnt my dealer, I would have ZERO complaints.

If your reading this for an endorsement of the XB2 I give it 100%, I read the Car and Driver article and those people should be shot for treating the xb like a garbage can, who the f gets the inside of their car that dirty? You need a trash can not a car. That article complained of the reach to the ac -- please --- I wont go into my car list, but the writers must be short armed if that is the big complaint. Grow some arms biotch and CLEAN the car...weird article...

Oh well I dig it, not as funky obviously but weird enough to keep me interested, and a great driver once lowered, and tightened with stabilzers.

One other call-out if you will AXIS wheels, nice guys but the AXIS wheel quality sucks, I have the shadows and the lips fade QUICKLY -- red looks cool PINK sucks. And the center cap on one now reads A IS. My X is gone poor quality- always hand washed!
