Trouble Choosing
Considering either Tanabe NF210s or Eibach Pro Kit springs for my xA. I'm installing Monroe Sensatracs in the rear this weekend, as I want a softer, smoother ride. Many people have suggested the NF210s to make the ride even better, because, surprisingly, they don't stiffen it up at all. At least perceived ride quality is softer.
I have a question though. After looking at spring rates, the Eibach Pro Kit springs seem to be comparable to the Tanabes. Can anyone vouch for this? I may go with the Eibachs, if that is the case, because I can grab them for so cheap.
Remember, I want a very smooth ride. What's the word people?

Have you checked out this thread yet??
The Tanabes are not a progressive spring like the Eibach's
I have the Eibach's, ran both sets and love them. they are very easy around town or cruising but put it into the corners fast/hard and they are way stiffer than the Tanabes
Tanabe NF210 (F) 118 lbs/sq in (R) 140 lbs/sq in
Eibach Pro-Kit (F) 120-189 lbs/sq in (R) 69-211 lbs/sq in

I did read that. That's why I felt that they were somewhat similar, though I did not notice that the Eibachs are progressive.
So basically what you are telling me is, I can get a smooth ride around town/interstates, but when I hit the corners, the springs can hold their own and keep turning tight?
Which basically means, the Eibachs would appear, and in your opinion, to be a better set of springs for what I want. Is that a good assumption?

Yep that's why I chose them over a static spring set. That and a 1 million mile warranty against sagging
Static rate springs take the same pounds per sq inch to start compressing as it does to fully compress making most lowering springs more stiff/bouncy feeling than stock
Progressive springs start at a much lower compression rate than stock for a smoother ride then get very stiff, some times considerably stiffer than the static set when under maximum load.
if you look at them compared to stock you get a better idea
Stock are static springs
(F) 148 lbs/sq in (R) 160 lbs/sq in

Eibach Pro-Kit (F) 120-189 lbs/sq in (R) 69-211 lbs/sq in
