Tire Questions from a n00b
I'm currently dropped on S-Techs. Will I rub with a 195/60/15? Will a 195 only work with 15x8's or can I use them with 15x7's? It seems all the wheels I like are 15x7's. Haven't found a whole lot of 15x8's. I currently have 18", but soon will be going back to the stock size of 15". I know the stock tire size is 185, but I want something that will make the wheels/tires kind of stick out a little bit from the car. Know what I mean?
Anyway, I really appreciate all the help and suggestions. Thank you.

if you go with a 15" rim i wouldnt go with a 60 profile tire, that would be way too beefy i think, i would go with a 50 series.
if you want the wheels and tires to "kind of stick out a little bit from the car", then its not going to be the tire size you need to worry about but the offset of the rim. (The offset of a wheel is the distance from its hub mounting surface to the centerline of the wheel) low offset rims often have lips from about 2 inches to 6 inches depending on the offset and width of the rim.
if you are going with a 15" rim, i would check out the Sportmax or XXR rims, they are awesome rims and a lot of people in the scion community are running them.
check out the 002 which has a 0 offset on a 15X8 (itll make your wheels and tires stick out about an inch from your fenderwells
also check out the 501 which has a +15 offset on a 15X8 (itll make your wheels stick out less than 1/2 inch from your fenders)
i am running the gold XXR 501's on my box and a stretched 195/50/15 tire and i think its the perfect setup, but i am kind of biased lol.

So a 15x8 would be better than a 15x7, correct? As for the XXR/Sportmax wheels - it's not that I don't like them, but it's just the fact that EVERYONE has them that I won't get them. Especially the 501's! haha. I actually have 18" Sportmax 001's right now. I'm just trying to be a little different than that pack, ya know?
I really like the Maxxim 4Play's, but they don't come in a 15x8. My current wheels have like 16 spokes and are a b**** to clean, so I want the least amount of spokes as possible!!!! hahaha.

The DR30's are a +40 offset so they are not going to have much of a lip at all and won't stick out like you're wanting without hub spacers in front and back. They are sexy rims, I was wanting a set of the Axis Racer x rims in a 15X8 with -27 offset Which look a lot like the DR30's but couldn't find a set in my price range. I mean a low offset 15x7 will do you just fine too, you just won't stick out as far. I am running hub spacers on my 15x8 in the rear just to bring them even with the fronts.
I hear you on the sportmax rims being played out, I was looking at the drag DR20's in the +10 offset for a while and still love a lot of drag rims.

**UPDATE**
Well I just received my EIBACH camber bolts today. I'm waiting for my Drag DR30's to come in before I put the bolts on. I bought 3 used DR30's from this guy, and the tires are 185/50/15. I'm just waiting for the 4th wheel to come in.
