I've been doing some looking around for summer tires, as well, and I've selected the Goodyear F1 GS-D3. They have great reviews on Tire Rack, but I'd like to hear from someone who's personally had them on his car. Any words of wisdom?

tread pattern doesnt mean anything performance wise. if you want a good tire, go with the michelin pilot sport ps2. the pattern looks like crap, but it will out perform. same with the pirelli tires

i had the pair of ventus from the first link, and i was quite happy with them for the price. But i went from falken ziex to those, i got them at pep boys for $65.00 a tire, mine were 205/40/16 they drove real quiet on the road much better than my ziex but did not handle hard driving as well as the falkens.

if your looking for a good tire thats warrented and cheap there great

if your looking for performance than i would go with a big name, any other q's?

I've only had my st-115 215/45/17 for a weekand they are the quietest tires I have ver had. I can't even hear them with all 4 windows down. Smooth and comfy too.

yes, i also fully endorse the HR2's!! remember the azenis life span is about 300 miles. and if that includes track time. knock it down to 200. that is if your doing it right with lots of lateral g's and tire screeching cornering. its the only way to fly!!

I had a set of *** Ho's, er Kuhmo's on my Police Interceptor Crown Victoria. Brand new they absolutely rocked. They were sticky, handled the road well, and had great wet traction for a performance tire (Kuhmo Ecsta's). The bad part is you MIGHT get 20k miles out of them with aggressive driving. They also lose their great traction as the miles go up. I liked em at the time, but would not buy if you do a lot of driving.
