Default Koni shocks for the xA are in development!

Here's the essence of the email sent to Koni last night:

Koni does not seem to offer an application my my vehicle. Is this application in development? If so, when will it be available? I also know of someone who has installed 2000 Toyota Echo Koni shocks in his Scion xA. He states that it is a direct fit. Does Koni recommend such a fitment?

Here's the response I got in return today:

This vehicle is currently on the R&D list. We should have part #'s
within the next month or so. Check back then and I should have part #'s
for you.

Thank you,
Stoney Hamilton

What kind of price range are we talking about? Cheaper than the TRD dampers?

Why would Koni price it differently than their application for the echo? They may, but they shouldn't.

Except the x cars are a hot commodity whereas the echo is not , therefor they could be messed up punks and try and make money where the demand is. That or they could be of a totally different valving/length than the echo units , itzjere , loves the koni yellows I installed for him , set to full firm still a pretty compliant ride , with good handling to boot.

I installed Koni Yellows for an Echo application onto my xA. Perfect and direct fit with no modifcation/fabrication at all. They are more expensive than TRDs (~$500 for F/R), but being adjustable and all, I love them. Full stiff all the time!

I used to have them on my crx and I loved them, they were soft when you needed them (1st dates etc....) and break your neck stiff when set to hard I swear by them......but keep in mind that they will only be as soft as your springs will permit

maybe that's why the guy didn't answer the true question regarding wether it'll fit or not.

Koni Yellows for Echos will fit the xA. Perfect fit, no fabrication. I'm running them now as proof!
