Has any one else had this problem? My tires (brand new, car has less than 5k on it) keep losing air. Mainly the passenger rear and driver front. I know its not due to temp variations because I fill them up and by the next morning they're flat, sometimes they last a bit longer but not much. I've been to three places including the dealer to have them checked out, couldn't find anything no nails holes even ran them through solution to check for any bubbling. got the drivers front replaced under warranty and its starting to do it again. Could it be the tires have a defect and maybe they need to replace all 4? I don't abuse them never taken them over 85 even, so what could be wrong?

 

Hmmm....I'd bring it back to the dealer. Have them check the Rim, Tire, and Valve Stem again. I know it's a pain but they need to fix it.

 

done it already and they can't find anything.

 

anyplace that carries bridgestone tires warrants the stock tires........

 

Is it possible you have people playing pranks on you like some neighborhood kids possibly letting the air out at night when the vehicle is unattended thru the valve stem because nobody has been able to find a problem with the tires or wheels?

 

nope it happens when im at work too. a friend said it could be bad sealant but wouldn't it show a leak when they run it through a tub?

 

If your tires are losing enough air to go flat overnight, and there are no air bubbles at all when they check your tires in a water tub, you're probably being punk'd.

Take the tires to a tire store that carries Bridgestone for a second opinion.

 

unless someone is following me to work on a highly secured air force base and doing it and coming to my house, and to my parents place in j-ville I doubt someone is messing with me unless theres just a network of deflating vandals across north florida. I'll try taking my tires in to see what they say though.

 

Do you have valve extenders installed by any chance? The ones that let you check the pressure without removing them? They've given me flat tires.

 

could be the wheel weights. I've had a problem before with the wheel weights causing a small amount of seepage, enough to make the tire go flat overnight.

With the wheel off the car, there wasn't enough weight on the tire to cause it to leak. Guys at my shop, and myself, spent 2 days (flat 2 mornings in a row). I finally got the idea to put the wheel back on the car, and spray the weight on the inside of the wheel. Ended up being where the leak was coming from.

 

I might have to try that they haven't been checked on the car they always take them off pressurize them and run them through the tub. Thanks for that info i'll try that when I get off work.

Another thought, I haven't looked at it but is the low tire pressure warning system tied in to the tire where it could affect pressure or is it a sensor inside the tire that just transmits electronically?

 

does your tire pressure sensor go off when you lose air overnight?

my tire light in the console has been coming on and the dealer told me at first that it was normal at 10,000 miles (got oil change at same time) and they filled them up but now a week later the light is on again, and i can notice in the passenger rear tire it looks a little low so now i know for sure its losing air. I will take it up there again this week- for the others that this has happened to, did they replace it for you?
