Front camber ?
I have installed the Easystreet strutbags an got the car back on the ground(literally). WHere did so much positive camber come from? Is there an easy fix like cambolts or something? I can't rock the spindles in any further. The camber is +1.5 or 2. Dropping the car bows out my front fenders. cuz of this camber and I won't drive it like that anyway. What is the solution?
Easy street got a little happy correcting for the negative camber of the drop. Best bet to correct it is camber plates, but they seem to be somewhat hard to get. I've got camber bolts, but really need more. You really need 3-5 degrees to get it to tuck right.
even with camber plates and or bolts there that problem with the fender being pushed out . you could always slot out the two hole on the bottom of the stru to attain camber .
go and get your box aligned at ride height, if you want the camber to be as negative as possible, have your ride height set to as low as you will drive safely. I did this at network alignment here in phoenix AZ. They let me drive my own car on the rack, I adjusted the suspension where I wanted it, and I let them go to work. My tires love me long time, and I drop it all the way with it barely touching the inner fender. To furtehr help it not touching, remove the plastic inner fender and get an exacto knife.

Slotting these struts would leave a tiny sliver of metal left on the outside. It might be okay on a show car. But there is no way that would be safe, espeically after you heat it by cutting the slot.
Hotbox, you know my situation, I was about to do that to add more negetive to what I already have and move my new wheels towards body more but nope, I don't think its safe, so I might end up leave it they way it is !!
About the front plate, they are on back order as of now, but I should have six sets in about two weeks,

when you alter camber from stock do any of you guys compesate the toe-in?
(i just know we have to do this on Model T's with their major, positive camber. It's the rolling hoop effect.
Tilt the hoop and it wants to roll in a curve in the direction of the lean.
We T fine-tuners adjust toe-in to neutralize that effect and make for a lot less tire scrub and remove the tendency of a T to "dart" off to one directin or another.
But those are skinny tires on the T, not wide treaded tires.
-just this question answered please, I don't mean to detract from the thread direction beyond getting some know-what about toe in on a modern car having neg. camber.
thanks
