Default WHICH BRAND OF TIRE SHOULD I GO WITH!!!!

I need some assistance!!!! My wife will be adding 18 inch rims on her XB. I found the rims that she wants with two different tire packages on two different websites. One package has Nitto Neogen tires and the other website has Nankang Sonar tires. I am not sure which tires to go with. Can I get your guys opinion on these two tires?

Thanks

Nitto tires are supposed to be good for traction, but I don't think tread life is all it should be.

Nankang, I've never really heard much about.

I've always had good luck with BFGoodrich Comp TAs and Continental ContiExtremeContact. I have the Conti's on my Cavalier and my xB right now. All from Tire Rack.

Default tire choice

If you have narrowed it down to those two options then definitely go with the Nitto's. The Nankings are a very low quality Chinese tire.

Good luck.

I'd also go with the Nitto's. I personally have Toyo Proxes4 and I love them....

I have 205/40/17 Hancook Ventus HRII tires and I love them. The traction in dry/wet is really good, tread wear is good, and above all price is nice. Also hear that the Falken Ziex ZE-512's are really good, better tread wear rating, but more expensive.

i've ran both tires on my box. both tires are good but in my opinion i like the nitto's better. i say spend the extra money and get the nitto's. as far as tire wear they both lasted me a long time. i just replaced my first set of neogen's this past month and i had them for about a year and i do drive my car i currently have 55,000 miles on my box. another plus is that the nitto's are supposed to be designed to wear evenly with negative camber.
