Default TRD Shocks N Struts

I just received my TRD shocks and it didn't include the uppermounts and the plastic washer that suppose to be in between the uppermount and the shock body. I know the scion website shows the uppermounts and the washer. Does anyone know about this or what has everyone else who ordered these shocks get. Plus the shock body has TOKICO on it, is TRD just using the housing or they custom ordered from Tokico to their specs. I also noticed that the documents state that these shocks are for the bB.

I went to Cabe Performance in Long Beach, CA to get the schocks and struts. When I saw that they were not stamped with TRD I bailed and didn't buy them. Later, I did some research and they were in fact the correct ones. They are stamped with Tockico and come with a Weydoo sticker.

I went back and got them.

Mine came with all the hardware. Take it back and tell them you are missing parts. Or if you ordered it and it got shipped to you, give the vendor a call.

Good Luck!

TRD Waydo sportivo shocks uses Tokico housing only just like NISMO shocks I bought awhile back for my Nissan, they used KYB housing instead. I checked the checklist in the box and only reads 2 front shocks, 2 rear struts, and 1 sticker. I hope they have the uppermounts and the bushing inside the box with the springs. So my question is has anyone who bought TRD Springs found bushings and uppermounts? Note: It is recommended to install new uppermounts and bushing when replacing shocks N springs, but my car is only a year old.

so, what you're saying is that the TRD shocks using tokico shock housing, but the internals are not made by tokico? that means I should not assume tokico quality from the TRD shocks, right?

what springs are you using with those shocks, by the way?

you can call your local scion dealer and ask what it comes with.

http://www.trdusa.com/SearchDatabaseResults.asp says this:
part number 00602-48030-150 Scion xB 2004 Shocks Set, Shocks $329.00

or you can contact the TRD Sport Parts Technical Assistance/Customer Service department at 800-688-5912 or trd_help@toyota.com to help you with your Toyota/TRD questions.

TRD shocks are made in Japan for the bB. What TRD could have done was to use the original internals from bB shocks and revalved them or contracted Tokico to make them just for the bB to their specs. Tokico only has HTS for the xb or bB available for the public.

People at TRD said I should reuse all the hardware such as the upper mounts, bushing, boot, springs sleeves, and the bumps stops a.k.a da snubber.

The dealer installed mine last week.
When I installed the cold air intake I saw they were labeled Waydo Sportivo.
I was peeved until I did some research.
Very happy with the ride, yesterday the swaybars came in.
Should handle good when I'm through.
