Default Tires For 15"x8"

I am planning on putting 215/55/15 tires on some 15"x8" rims. Would this work? Also, I was planning on ordering the rims with an offset of 18. However they also come in 28 offset. If I am going to put on the Spy fender flares, which fitment do you guys recommend? Would either of these work or would I need spacers as well? If so which do you recommend? Just out of curiosity, would 225/55/15 work? Thanks.

225 mm is almost 9 inches of tire on the ground i think they would be a better choice than the 215.

I basically have the same question, but I wanna know if theres any way to go with a 225/55/15 and have a snug fit without fender flare ( I dont wanna have tires pokin 4 inches out of the wheel wells), and what offset would be best. I wanna go wider I just dont wanna go higher, good question, hope this post gets some helpful replies.

Alright I've been doing some searching, I basically answered my question. Im pretty sure with a 35 offset I can throw some 15x7 rims wrapped in 225/50/15 rubber with less than a 1% difference in odo reading, while adding less than inch in width in both directions while getting around 1.5 more inches of rubber to the ground (almost 9 inches total) (width wise). Whoo hoo- Deep dish time.
