Default Hood Question?

I just purchased a bunch of things for my scion including:

-18" SportMax 962 wheels
-Tein S-tech lowering springs (1.7front/1.5rear)
-VIS Carbon Fiber Hood
-15" Kicker Solo Baric L7

My question is regarding hood pins with my VIS hood. Do I really need them and if no has anyone had any problems with the hoods flying off or up?

Thank

Isn't it carbon fiber overlaid on something stronger though?

you dont need hoodpins on the vis hood. i dont have a vis one but my cf hood is very secure even at high speeds (98mph - common it's a box) so i wouldnt think you need any hoodpins unless for looks.

I would do hoodpins regardless.. All carbon fiber hoods its recommended to have them

I used to be an insurance adjuster and you wouldnt believe how many claims ive taken where hoods flew up on people and caused them to wreck..

IMHO I wouldnt take the chance without them
