I asked in another post, but no answers..so here it is by it self..LOL
----------------------------------------------
I was looking into 20 inch wheels, but tire price could be a future issue. I don't have Cali roads in New England. LOL
Plus because of the different conditions here it's not a bright idea to lower your vehicle. I think 17s are too small for my taste, but if the ride is great and they look hot...Maybe. I'd like go with either 18s, 19s or 20s if I could, but ride???.
If I get these 18s, what tire size should I run on them to keep from having a bumpy ride?

They are similar, if not exact to the 20s I was considering by TIS.
Help here, my RS1 coming soon...
Thanks in advance

Regardless of tire size your ride is going to be bumpy if you are going with 18's. Not to mention you will have to lower it at least 2" for it to look right, Otherwise it'll look lifted.
I would not suggest going with 20's, thats just me. You cant really go bigger then a 225/40-18 and i dont even think that will fit without rubbing. You dont want big wheels with a big sidewall. Just doesn't go.

Go either 18's or 19's with TRD springs and you should be good to survive the NE roads.
No 20's unless you really want to do alot of modifications to your fender well. Also since you really like the chrome look then it definitely would have too much unsprung weight.
You have to lower it in some way or else it will definitely look weird.

the 19's are wheres its at no question with nitto neogens. You can run 20's but the only tire u can run with out rubbing BFG will not be releasing them till may of 2005 os it will be a little wait. theres pics of my lava in the pics from the tracy nor cal scion meet.

I decided on the following wheels, now I need tire and size.

but still undecided on size: 17" or 18"
I'm not going to drop my ride, so I need suggestions on tire size fro each.
17" = Tire Size?
18" = Tire Size?
Need help asap, taking delivery of my RS1 this week would like to have sneakers on it. LOL

I have a 17x7.5 BSA 259 with a 2 1/2" lip on the front. Im running a 215/45R17 here in Dirty Jersey, with ruts and pot holes, and the ride feels fine. The suspension is a little stiff, but that is the car, not the tires.
Oh, im also running Nankang tires, and 150 miles in, and im very pleased with the ride. Not very noisey, handles well, all around great touring tire. Unless they really sux in the wet, i would recommend these to anyone.
Oh again, i purchased the wheels from www.victoriatire.com and took delivery of the wheels, tires, mounting, balancing, lug nuts, lug nut wrench, hub centric rings ( although they dont fit, but i dont need them ) and shipping all for $776. Thats shipped from Cali to NJ, and my order took 10 days to get here.
If you would like to see pics, look at my album from the link below. PM me if you have any other :?: s

hey fox ... I'd say go with 17's ... and def. lower your ride ... I'm puttin the tanabe nf210 series on my box ... those rims look good .... but it'll look lifted if you don't drop it ... you'll still have enough ground clearance ...

Thanks guys, I got the 18s. They gave me a good price. Tire size 215/35/18 Pirellis.
Still, that lowering thing...I'll see how they look, if I can get away with the stock height, then I won't risk it here in good old New England country..
