Default Koni shocks

Has anyone installed the Koni shocks that are made for the Toyota Echo '00-'04??? I am intrested in then if they fit because the adjustables are too over priced and The TRD's are too close to stock.

They make Konis that fit the xA & xB. Might be a little more then the Echo ones. Yes they would fit. Would I get them, probably not. I think the dampen rate is a little less, because the echo is after all at least 200lbs lighter then the xA & xB. So if you could stand a little more bumpy ride, then I dont see why it would not work. I just think you over all load limit might go down a little with those ones.

Actually, the Koni shocks for the Echo, xA, and xB are the same. If you check out the Koni website you'll see that the part numbers are the same for all 3 vehicles. Check out the following thread for more info: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=65648

I can confirm the Echo, xA, & xB's are the same. We now have the xA & xB fitments listed on our site at: http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=DJ1&...sion/index.jsp

Tire Rack rules!

I was promoing LTB a week or so ago b/c of their slightly lower prices ($8 less than TR for a pair of KONI rears) and mainly for the free shipping, but I'm on the West Coast, wanted a pair, and didn't really want to wait for them to get here from LTB in Florida.

So, I went with Tire Rack, paid a staggering $9 for UPS shipping, and my 11 AM Wednesday order arrived Thursday at 11:30. Awesome. I can't even overnight a letter for $9!

I have to credit jomo for sharing his KONI r/d discovery with all of us in the first place! https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...ight=jomo+koni

And thanks again to Gabe at Precision Muffler (http://www.precisionmuffler.com) in Milpitas for his help getting these on in seconds flat, dirt cheap! If you are in the Bay Area and own a Scion, go to Gabe. He is the best.

Oh yeah, and we are on Hotchkis springs...the improvement in ride comfort with the KONIs over the stock shocks is significant. I can't wait to add the fronts...

And I'll be ordering them from Tire Rack!

um, really? i think you are confusing "over priced" with "priced pennies higher."

turns out i was wrong. tire rack is only $2 more (not $4) each for the rears, and .80 cents more each for the fronts.

also, $9 for overnight shipping for a pair of shocks is a smokin' deal.

but, if you aren't in a hurry to get them as i was, by all means save the exorbitant $9 overnight shipping and the $5.60 "over price" and get them at LTB...

I think what he means is that Koni's in general are overpriced.
