i need some help.... i have 17x7 rims wanting to drop it 4" with the following products

i'm very concerned about rubbing also... anyone know anyone that has done a 4" drop and if so tell them to PM -thanks

any suggestions would be great.... the only thing worrying me is the camber effect on the wheels if i drop it that much. also does anyone know a set of springs that drop an xB more than 2"..... please let me know what ya'll think... hate to make a wrong decision.

youre not going to get a 4" drop with springs (nor coilovers). Air. But, if you can handle just 2.5 or so, I vote springs!

 

The coilovers would be overkill for just every day driving. I would springs. And it really would be best if you got some new shocks designed to work with the lowered springs.

 

Another thing, I'd be scared of the rear springs, fully compressed, falling out over big bumps. I've not heard of it happening on scions, bit there's nothing to keep those in, right? Just something to think about

 

i have those coilovers, the rear only drops about 2-2.5 max and the front maybe around 2.5 - 3 inches. you wont get the drop your looking for but those are some sick ___ wheels

 

I bought those Coil overs a while back and never could get them in.. there to small to fit on the perches so I got air instead..

I still have them sitting in the box

 

so they didn't work???..why not return them???

 

For what I paid and would have to pay in Return Shipping from Georgia to California its not worth it ..

 

they required a little modification. nothing too bad or costly, just some longer bolts and bigger washers for the rear perches. about maybe like $2 from home depot

 

Do you have any pics of the rear ones installed so I can get an idea.. might try to put them on my brothers xb

 

ill try and get some pics right now. the only thing is that i have the spring sitting on the perch. the rear wouldnt drop enough, i tried flipping the piece everydifferent way and just eneded taking them off. now the car sits nice

the bolt and washer


the bolts should be to 1/2" - to 1" longer than the ones provided and as for the washers, buy a couple of them and test fit. it really is an easy install. any questions pm me.

I am running stock rims right now but I used coil overs to get a 4" drop. Need to replace your stock shocks in the rear but it looks awesome. Go bags if you can afford though.

 

yea thats the lowest it will go without cutting the springs. but its low enough trust me
