Default Strange problem with new tail lights??

Hello all, I tried searching for this but didnt find anything?? I just purchased a set of the Clear/Red tail lights like these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/03-04...21434799QQrdZ1
I got them a couple of days ago, and they sent a set of amber bulbs with them. So I went to put them in, and the bulbs they sent were a wedge style.... which wont go in the base, so I figured I would just put my clear bulbs in, and go to the auto parts store to buy some new bulbs. Well the old bulbs wouldnt fit in the hole of the lamp. So I further investigated it, and realized that the tailights opening for the base had three prongs on it, and all three bulbs on my harness have 4 prongs (couldnt think of a better word.) I e-mailed the company yesterday, and am currently waiting a response. Has anyone else had this problem? or even know what I am talking about? when I bought my xB the dealer had installed the TYC tails on it, and I didnt know if the had to switch out the harness for those? All help is appreciated. Thank you

Dustin

The TYC lights come with a seperate wiring harness and all new bulbs... You probably need the factory harness to fit the ebay lights.

I would HIGHLY suggest just posting a "Wanted" ad on the classifieds for a set of stock tails. You should be able to get them for under $50 shipped I would think.

Sometimes dealers include stock tails when you get the TYCs, sometimes they don't. If the customer asks, we'll always give them the stockers, otherwise we usually don't. Many people simply become confused as to why you're giving them extra parts with their brand new car, so we don't send them away with everybody.

Default .....Post more....

I did install a set of after-market tail lights. On most, you swap the bulb/socket assembly from your stock tails into the replacement tail lights.

I want a set of TCY's. I even have extra bulbs and sockets to put in them.

Perhaps, you can sell me your TYC's.....
