There are sway bars out there, but none of them are true sway bars, atleast not to date. Most of them, if not all of them are add on bars. Whiteline just released one that installs on shock mounts, personally i find that to be the worst set up you can get but it does stiffen up the body roll movements. In order for a real sway bar to come out, they need to develope on that mounts up to the subframe. Huge difference in handling between the ones out now and what the subframe could provide.
Hotchkis, whiteline, progress and a few other companies sell sways.

i know and agree, been involved in autocross (with hondas though) for over 9 yrs, but i dont know anything about scion available products. thats why i wanted to know who made a real sway bar. i think i saw your post before on this too, and couldnt agree more. anyway i ordered the progress from ebay today since it appears as though it will not interfere with whatever subframe one would possibly be available later. i will go custom if i have to, there is a place right next to my home that did one for me on a maxima i had a few years ago. the rear is quite similar to what this xb. anyway, thanks.
i now have the rears pushed out a bit by the otg kit and spacers, and koni shocks which are pretty stiff at hightest setting and i got the megan springs since they were the stiffest i could find. progress bar is on the way along with the front strut bar. i hope it will handle decent once i change the stock tires to 205/55/15's w/reinforced sidewalls. we'll see in a week. i'll post pics and results soon.
i know this is a long post but one more thing, im thinking of getting the rear subframe brace but anyone feel that it hangs too low? this thing is pretty low as it is and if the box feels that much better with one, id get it. but not if it is barely noticeable. thanks all

haha question again. my wife has a box as well (love the garage full of xb's) and she wants it to handle better without lowering. i cant convince her. anyone just have the front strut bar and rear sway (frame stiffner) bar on stock springs/struts? does it handle any better at all? thanks once again...
I had a 97' gs-r before the box, so i also have experience autocrossing in hondas.
Sounds like you have a really well thought out plan, can't wait to see some pictures of your final product.
The rear brace IMO doesn't hang too low, but it does hang slightly lower compared to most cars. I haven't had any issues with it so i wouldn't worry about it if i were you.
Its really only so much frame supports, sways, struts can do without a lowered car. Stock height is pretty high for what the car is so it kind of cancels each other out. Sure, it will help. But in order to use it to its full advantage springs or coilovers would be the best thing to start out with, then get the frame/strut/whatever.

took a peek under the car, it cant be that low w/the brace... im gonna hold off until the day after christmas which is when i will have time to put all the parts in. i'll take pics of the before and after and post them then. i wont feel each individual part as i am putting everything in at once but im sure it will be much better. the boxes handle like poo stock. i still drive my del sol (with full suspension) on weekends so when i drive the box (for weekdays i drive from orange county to santa barbara for work) its sad. love the box though, waited so long for them to come to the u.s.
