Default Any xb's owners lowered fighting the snow?

I live in Cincinnati and I am going to lower my XB with about a 2 inch drop. WE see our fair share of snow here and I do not know if it will be a real problem for my front lip if I do lower the car. I know there has to be some people rocking a lowered xb out in the snow who can give some insight.

Unless you live on roads that aren't plowed, you shouldn't have that big of a problem. The lower lip is pretty weak and has a tendency to crack or come off as some people on this board have had happen. If you're plowing snow with your front end then you probably may damage you lower lip. I have had to rock my xb out of the snow plenty of times and have been high centered. I am lowered about 1.2 inches all around. My lower lip has three cracks in it and the bottom is scraped to ____.

Just be careful i guess - on the flipside a 2 inch drop looks sweet on the xb.

I live in Milwaukee, WI and we've had more snow than usual this year. However, I've found the xB goes pretty well through the snow even with my S-Techs. I do have my stock wheels/tires back on, though.

I lost the lower lip on mine but otherwise it seems to be handling the snow just fine...

All it takes is one 6" ice blob falling from some SUV's fender to do $$$ damage to your skirt. Height is your friend.

I guess I will need to go with a less extreme drop. Thanks

Well i live in the mountain and i get quite a bit of snow and ice up here, and my xB handles great and has no problems getting around, except for the occasional wheel spin when i start off on a spot with ice, I am lowered on s-techs, just avoid the big blobs of snow and you'll be chill

You should be all right. Be careful for the big piles and just plow on through.
