Default New Scion Mods!

Ok, just wanted to let everyone know that I have began the headrest TV install and I have them both mounted into the headrest perfectly. Now one of the cables broke and I have ordered another one and no it was not my fault it was loose or something. I have also just ordered these items for the XB.

New Headlights:

New Grille:

New Exhaust:

I will post pics of the headrest TVs once they are in and functional. Also as the other stuff comes in and goes on I will have pics. Need to get ready for Motor Trend.

More mods to come....

-Graphics
-Revamp of Audio Enclosure to include X-Box and a little fiberglass and Plexy!

Yeah, I am hoping that with the grille being carbon it will look nice next to my carbon hood and with everything being dark/black it will look good together. I am also hoping that with all those halos and lights it will turn out nicely.

Thanks for all the comments.

Maybe and maybe not. I was thinking about getting a grill like that for my xB because I have those same headlights - but - the outer lights are your normal lights and the inner ones are your brights so if you turn the grill lights on and your normal lights it might look a little weird.

Know what I'm saying?

Well my thing is the color looking the best but as far as the lights I am not worried aboiut the actual lights looking good but rather the halos all lit up at the same time.

Yeah, after I bought it I was unsure of this too. I was looking at the pic and did not see the flange to bolt it up. I guess I will have to wait and see unless anyone else wants to comment.

yeah you're gonna have to weld it.
all good exhaust systems require welding.
if it's bolt on, it's crap.

i have the strup exhaust and it is bolt on. . .sort of. It uses a ball joint male and female connector. Two thing, 1. get an exhaust gasket, cause I know some people have some problems with old gasket leaking. 2. A little bit of bending might be required. I know that my exhaust was dropped during shipping cause the tip was flat on one side. When I went to go put it on the exhaust hung a little to the left of the cutout and was a little high. Just need to bend some of the hangers on the exhaust and on the car itself otherwise it's good.

Also most cars use two bolts and a gasket. The xB uses a ball socket with a male and female sides. Then a clamp is used to hold them together. No wielding is needed. I work at a shop and it didn't take more then 10 minutes to get everything set up. If you wanna see more go to the tech section and look at the DC axleback install, the strup is very close to the DC sports exhaust.

and one last thing, if the exhaust is too loud you can email mister westrup the owner of Strup and see if he'll sell you a silencer. Hope this helps a little. feel free to pm if you have any questions or use the search, trust me there is more then enough help on this site.

The same here, with the Borla Exhaust uses a ball joint male and female connector wich was leaking with the OEM gasket, I replaced it and everything is fine now.

So it seems that I should just go and buy that gasket right now so that I can install it with the new exhaust to prevent leaks then? Well I appreciate all the feedback and I will deff. post pics once it is all here.
