Default Wanna lower with coilovers, but have ques?!?!?

i want to lower my XB with coilovers. I have been told that the Tein Basic and the Tanabe s-oc type2 will blow out if i put them as low as they can go. I can run the Tanabe s-s without blowing out the shock, but i have also been told from local stores that coilovers are not made to run any lower then 1.7 ! Anyone know if this is true or not!? For that reason i am stuck. I want have a coilover with dampening option, option for more ridehight then i need so i can put it where i want to on the wheels. I'm looking to purchase this at a reasonable price. around 700- 800. It's going to have 18's on the car. Anyone know what to get and where i can get it to reach my goal !? I found some pics of someones scion on this forum. it has the stance im going for with coilovers.
