Default silly!? - xb's on 16's

well, this is my first post , so here it goes. i'm going back and forth in between 16's or 17's for when i get my xb(still quite a few months off). fact is i haven't seen many pics of an xb on 16's. the rims i'm leaning towards are the work emotions, gram lights 57C, and the 5zigen FN-01R C's. so if any of you fellow xb'ers have any pics(preferably lowered xb's) please post.

thanks! :D

I have 16X8 rims on my xB. Running 205/55 tires.

And I love it. Ride is a lot smoother then the one I drove with 18's on it. I also like the look.

Some people like it, some don't. But I've got them on there and I'm not going any bigger. Tires are also a hellava lot cheaper. :D

I'll post some pics as soon as I can.

If you are going to get 16 or 17 get some wide rims with a big lip.

I have 16x7's on my BCP. Check my profile, I think there are some bad pics in there.. Also cowboy has some, but the pics are gone.

I am getting 16 inch rims....just think you wont ever have to worry about curbs with 16 inch rims like you do with 18 and higher rims

I have/had 16x7 on my xB, 205/50 tires, and they look pretty good... I opted for the 16"s because the roads around my area are hooooorrible, and I didn't feel like taking any chances with 17s or 18s.

I should mention mine are 16X8 with a 38mm offset.

This seemed to line it up just rigth with the edge of the car (wheel lines up with fender but is inside of the flared, top, of the fender).

No rubbing issues at all.

They are EP01's, not the fanciest of rims, but have a nice look to them.

16x7's with et25mm. They don't rub. I can't reccomend the tires I went with though..
Anyway, look up Van Phan (scionvan). I know he has some more and they're headed for Ebay.

In my heart I wanted the 17's. But the road conditions here in Northern NJ tilted me toward the 16's which allows me to get a tire with a substantial sidewall. Haven't decided whether to drop or not.

Finally found the time today to try on my 16 X 7.5 Vision wheels, 38 offset. Found them on Ebay. Only got two 215/50 tires since I wanted to be sure there weren't any rubbing problems. They're all-season Kumho ECSTA ASX from TireRack, which are strangely a little cheaper than the 205/50, which is the normal recommended size. But I felt the 215 would match up better with the 7.5 rims. Looks ok, no rubbing, so guess I'll order two more tires tomorrow. Sorry no pictures yet. Still have to get some hubcentric rings before we install them on a permanent basis.

I put 17's on mine, but the roads are mostly very smooth in Georgia. If I lived in NJ, or any other northern state, I'd have gone with 16's.

Wasn't the Opr8r on 16s and the 5zigen springs. He was car of the month last month and I know that he loves his set-up. It looks real nice, just look up the featured ride and click on last months car. :D

He's actually on 17s. Looks great though!

15/16/17/18 whatever--if they are nice looking wheels, and you are low enough to compliment them--they will look badass, and that's the bottom line.
