Default What size wheel spacer?

I'm thinking about getting some new wheels that have a +42 offset for my '06 xA and I'm wondering what size wheel spacers I should get. Using an offset calculator and the stock measurments (5.5in wheel and +38 offset) it's telling me that a new 7in wheel with a +42 offset should put the wheel 15mm closer to the hub.

So does that mean I need a spacer to cover 15mm + stock size to the fender? I think so, but does that mean people are running 1" (25mm) spacers in the rear? That seems pretty extreme, let me know if I'm right.

Any suggestions for the front?

Nevermind, I read the caclulator wrong. It's going to put the wheel 15mm FURTHER from the hub and closer to the fender.

FYI, stock steelies are 6" wide, offset 38mm.
A 7" wheel will be 1/2" wider on each side of the wheels centerline.
The offset will move the wheels centerline in or out.

So, for 15x7 offset 42mm, thew wheel will be...
...1/2" + 4mm closer to the suspension = roughly 16mm
...1/2" - 4mm closer to the fender = roughly 8mm

Oh, and you will only need a spacer if the wheel or tire is rubbing any part of your suspension. IIRC, a 42mm offset is as close as you can get without rubbing. This is usually only concering the rear.

Although, not every wheel offset 42mm is exactly tthe same, there is a possibility you will need a 5mm spacer.
