Hey, im thinking about getting the HID but i dont know which series to get. Someone told me to get 9006 with H4 ballast? If anyone has projector, please tell me which on you got to fit it the projector.

I have the projectors from scion sport, they gave me an adapter so I can run 9006. The HIDs that I have are 9006. You can also get what you said but, they will only fit with an aftermarket headlight. I dont know if you can put a 9006 bulb in the stock headlight.

 

so you ordered 9006 HID? what about the ballast? same?

 

yeah, because the sicon projectors bulbs are 9006. Yeah the ballast are also 9006 but, Now I think about it I should have gone with the H4 ballast.

 

You should just get a kit that has the right bulbs from the start if possible so they position correctly in the housing. For example in my case the stock lights are H4 I have a H4 kit it fits good, now I want some projectors -> the new black ones but those are going to be 9006 right? Well my ballast is universal and powers all the bulbs so I just buy a second bulb and plug and play harness (or relay harness) setup for the new 9006's and use my existing ballast, if I go back to my stock housings I just swap back to the H4 bulbs and plug and play harness. Cost for parts is a little over a third of the total kit price, so yea it does cost but it's cheaper than buying a second HID kit or selling your existing and paying the difference plus you can go swap back and forth if you wanted to on housings.
