Default Tire fitment

Can anybody tell me if I can run 215/45/R17's on my 17X7 rims with a 38 - 40 offset? Should I use a spacer? My xB is pretty much stock when it comes to suspension meaning I Have'nt lowered it.

That should work just fine. They are only a little taller than stock. You can also look into 215/40/17 if you don't mind a little less sidewall.

Thanks for the information. I am running 205/40/17's now and the ride is a little rough. I guess I'm getting old.

if you want the cushiest ride for 17's while stayingclose to stock diameter use 205/45/17

205/45 are 3.6in sidewall
215/40 is 3.4in

215/45 is 3.8 but the speedo will be more than 2 mph off. and you may have rubbing

if you want a comfier ride i'd choose 205/45. but that's just me.

i've run 25 series tires before and wasnt bothered tho. lol right now i'm on 215/40 theyre plush to me.
