Well i was just taking a nap and i had this dream that i was back in college. In this dream i'm driving my TCM xB around the dorms and it had red rubber tires(dirty tread and all). I thought they actually looked pretty cool with some other red accents on the car. Now i know that someone out there has already come up with this idea and is developing it. My question is, would anyone else consider putting colored tires on their ride? Has anyone else heard of such a notion or am i still dreaming?

BF Goodrich had a tire early in the millinium called the Scorcher. The tire had a couple of colored bands that ran around the circumference. They only had a couple of color options, red, yellow and blue if I remember correctly. The tire looked like a standard tire from the side, but you could see the bands on the tread from behind. It would also leave the colored rubber behind if you did a burn out.
It was a quick fad that never really took off.

Metzeler (Germany) used to make automotive tires, and some of their snow tires were royal blue - I had a set on one of my Volvos 'back when.'
