And for the comment about asking a cop... NEVER ask a cop. Chances are they do not know. And if they aren't sure, every state has "catch all" laws used by law enforcement. Your are always safer to study it out yourself.

What kind of of yellow bulbs are you getting?
I dumped my green head lights because the wattage was too high and it made me nervous.
It was more watts than stock so I am gonna get the same wattage next time, but yellow.

All states allow white, some states (not all) allow yellow/amber, also.
Washington state laws only allow white.
(Whether or not one gets stopped for odd colored lights is another matter entirely - sometimes you do, sometimes you don't.)
