Default BAM!! BENT FRAME PART w/photos...

Cruzing one night, I was behind 18-wheelers when a carcus cleared the rig in front of me. I could not change lanes and I had to go over it. BAM! A very hard hit was felt. When I got home, I had to pop the rear lower lip back in place. Once I did my transmissuon fluid change, I saw hair on bolts and I saw this bent frame peice. I removed it and will replace it. What is it called?

If I was lowered, it would have smashed my bumper cover for sure.
I want a drop, but I will only go down apx. 1 inch, so Tein H-tech's right?

It took a huge force to bend this frame brace part.
If your box is lowered, be ready to jump. Or change lanes.

I bent the same part on my xB, I hit a spare tire (donut) that fell off a trailer in front of me. It was wedged under my car, I grinded to a stop and had to jack up the car to get it out.

Ouch, Dwestxb. I did the same thing in my old eclipse sypder.

Unfortunately for me, THAT spare tire was still on the wheel. I was in the third lane of the freeway at the time going around 65. Still not sure how I ended up on the right shoulder aligned with traffic.

It ain't all that pretty, Don, and 'cides, someone stole my cape. http://tijil.org/SuperMod.jpg

The legit way to do it would be to get a full set of the electronic manuals for your vehicle from the 'paid subscription' Toyota TIS site, and load 'em onto a cheap flashdrive...

you should replace it with this

i know there has been a lot of controversy about if this product helps but hey its relatively cheap considering the labor and time involved with production and it looks cool, however i have a friend that purchased it and said that it really did stiffen the feel up a noticable bit.
here is the link where you can find it

My vote goes to aftermarket replacement also. It's a great opportunity to upgrade.

By the way, I thinnk you should shave of the rear "xBox" emblem and shift the whole thing a little to the left. It's sitting a little close to the edge.

Default .....WOW WHAT A WEBSITE.....

Thanks for all information.
An aftermarket frame brace might be nice. I will post up the price from the dealer. $18.58! At Miller Scion Manassas, Va.
I did find the part name in the fisch and on the free pages of the manual.

I was going to play a game.. Name the bent frame peice..... But with such well informed users, it would not even be fun.

Thanks Again.... ONLY $18.58
