Default Wheel Balance Problems

I have had my new wheels balanced 4 times now at 3 different shops and they still are not balanced at 70mph.... the rims are fine, the bead is set, i used the correct hubcentric spacers, and they still shake... i put the steelies back on and got them up to 100 and they were as smooth as sitting still....

is there something that im overlooking? someone with wheel balance knowledge please help

how are the tires? are they chopped? did you have an alignment after the new rims/tires combo install? also how were they balanced, static, dynamic?

oh.. is ur a discount tire near u? i say this because discount tires usually have this balancer machine that doesnt have all that bullshiet techonoloy with all this special features.. its a basic balancer that sticly focuses on balacing.. also if u do try to get it balanced again.. ask the people at the shop to re-calibrate the machines.. usuallly after a couple times of balancing, they tend to loose calibration.. also which wheels are u using.. cause dynamic and static balance also depends on the wheel.. for ie.. you dont want the inner and outer wieghts too close together.. they tend to cancel each other out.. also u dont want counter balanced.. which wheels do u have.. maybe i can help u out by suggesting which balance technique should be used

ok try this.. when u air up the tire.. air up to about 60 psi.. to let the bead set in the wheel and then drop it down to 35.. making sure the valve core is not in it.. if so. u'll end up blowing up the tire.

then do a dynamic balance on both ends of the inner wheel.. also when u do this. trying using either a lug plate or finger plate.. it holds the wheel center on the balancer and restricts wobble..

i know this by exprience.. i work at discount tire co. in orlando fl..

hope this helps.. and good luck.. let me know if it helps or anything

well we aired them up like you said when mounted them and made sure the bead was set also i drove them to Destin and back last week so im pretty sure that the bead is set, they were dynamic balanced but i dont think they had the machine calibrated correctly....

thats the only other thing that it could be, i have a friend with a balance machine and im gonna see if we can get them right we i get time to try them out there

Sup bro. You need to find you a GSP 9700 machine to get them balanced. Make sure they are using stick on weights and not rim lip weights. Wirse comes to worse bring it back to Team and let them balance them for you. Thats where mine were done after 2 times at Kirks.
