Default Tires

Alright... I know this thing comes with special tires that were originally developed for a Lexus or something. I live in Seattle and as you may have heard, it rains a lot. Every once in a while (winter really) I like to drive up to the mountains too, so that's a bit of snow. I know it's FWD, which should help, but I had special mud and snow rated tires on my Integra. Before that I almost crushed some kid trying to stop. Anyone have any idea what kind of rating these tires have? Any idea how they will handle in the rain? I'd hate to have to buy new tires for it when these don't channel water very well...

I live in PA and have to deal with snow and ice. I need to know if these tires can handle harsh winters or will I need to buy some winter tires? Do winter tires really make that much of a difference?
