Default stretched tires abd air pressure

My new wheels will be 8.5 wide and I will be doing a mild stretch with a 215 wheel. I have never had stretched wheels before, once it is streached are the manufacturer pressure recomendations no longer good? how do you now how much air pressure they should have? It really probably need a higher pressure, right?

215 on 8.5 are very very Mild stretch, just run the regular 35 PSI and check the pressure here and there and you should be fine !!

35 psi? The sticker in the doorjamb sez 29 psi....

I think you're right about running higher pressure, though...

35 psi would probably be a decent starting point, and you'll want to check the depth across the tread after 1K miles or so to adjust if required... keep checking & changing until the wear is even... you may need different pressures front & rear, dunno... You just have to pay attention if you want to get the most out of the tires...

I do understand manufactures set the Air pressure by suspension and how the car should ride, But personally for 18" wheel with no sidewalls I like to run between 33~36 (I know you might say lower pressure better ride but this is just my personal opinion) on my scion in rear I'm running 60 psi and that is 10 psi over max for size of tire I'm running (215/35), but sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do to make things work
