Stock Shocks
Good question because I was wondering if there was a manafacturer out there that's has a solution to the hard ride factor ...The car rides hard as ____ and lowering it with low profile tire just adds to the miscomfort of hitting a bump and not really slowing down for it...anyway I rather spend my money on suspension aftermarket products versus speed performance parts.
Changing shocks/struts seems to be a natural solution..
I understand if your coming from driving a car with a worse ride than I guess I sound like I'm complaining but my girl has an 2000 Echo and with 175x65x14, it rides a lot smoother than my scion.
I just wish there was a shock strut combo which could compensate and give me a less bumpier, yet tight, smoother ride!

I note that in Japan, the bB is equipped with 65 series tires rather than the 60 series tires found on the xB. Lower profile tires have less cushioning ability, but the difference between 60 and 65 would be small,
Now go to a 185/75-14 tires and the ride would improve considerably, at the cost of appearance.
I also wonder about the interchangability of Echo and Scion springs. The Scions are a bit heavier, but with a bit more pre-load the Echo springs might soften things up a bit. The tradeoff would be on the razor-edge of handling, but for those who don't explore the limits this might be a worthwhile modification.

Haha, I am also glad someone else is also on the same boat with me. The stock suspension are just too stiff on the freeways here. Bouncing up and down on the freeways here is really killing me. If anyone could tell me if Echo springs really fit, I would really want to try it out.
