Default New Foglights, Silverstar Ultras

Okay so I picked up a set of the new Sylvania Silverstar Ultras. I like them, nice and bright. But I don't think they were developed for projectors. I can see alot further than before...I also put in new foglights. One of the older ones cracked and had a hole in it. So I put these on. better light output but not as colorful as the old ones...I don't know why, but i didn't take a picture of the headlights with the white light...

Okay, so here they are during the day...

Then in low light

Here is the output

Even with the new bulbs, still have some color to them, which i like...

Here is the cut off of the new bulbs, see the hot spots, I think if I didn't have projectors, the whole thing would be that bright.

Looks nice

Where did you pickup the fogs, they look pretty sweet.. any info on installing them would be greatly appreciated.

I installed the factory ones, and they look sweet just don't actually light up much

I got them from wal-mart, they were only 19.99. I think they are made my Blazer maybe...I know it says blazer on the packaging. I already had my previous wiring still in place so i disconnected and reconnected. They way I mounted them is half ___. it looks good though. I poked a hole big enough for the bolt to go through and then tightened the nut. You can take off the lower lip and it would be easier, but i was running out of daylight. If i ever take these lights out, I will have to get a new lip because of the holes...

I didn't have factory fogs, but i guess you could if you tap into the factory harness. I guess you thought I was talking about OEM fogs when i said old fogs. I meant old aftermarket ones...

Nah, i've been looking for ones that fit snug, and these are just right...All i did was take out the inserts. I don't know if you will be able to see how snug it is, because my monitor at work is dark, so all i see is a dark area. i can barely see the right side of the light. but here is a closeup. If you can't see it good, I'll take a pic with the flash for you...

that looks pretty good to me. thanks man. i might have to put this in at some point...the output on the stockers is kinda dissapointing. i think the main problem is they sit to high and dont really have much effect in the fog.

thanks!

Problem with those eBay projectors is that they're 5 inches deep - they'd poke out obscenely from the grille. I searched forever before buying a pair of cheap generic Chinese knockoffs from eBay that sat back enough not to look dorky. Wish my local Wal-Mart had ones loke Honey's in stock!

five inches deep isnt a problem down there...you have all the space in the world behind those two spots...
