Default xB OEM foglight bulb replacement with Luminics?

Has anyone upgraded or replaced their stock foglight bulbs for Silverstars or Luminics?

I replaced my headlights with Silverstar 9003's and i know they will look & perform great... but i also bought a pair of 9006 silverstars for the fogs and installed them this weekend.. but think that i might want to switch them out for this unused set of Luminics Racing Yellow bulbs.. to give them a real fog light look/style.

has anyone done this? any pics?

Do you have a website for these bulbs and does the wiring harness need to be upgraded?

Thanks

www.luminicsbulbs.com

i noticed when i bought the low & high beam pair for my tC... the 9005 (low beam) said it was a 65W bulb.. and the 9006 (high beam) was a 55W bulb.

on the xB the fog light is just a 9006... so when i removed it i checked the brand on the bulb it said Kioto from Japan... so i just replaced it with the luminics 55W bulb.. which should be no problem at all. if you run anything higher than 55W i would definitely recommend a heavy duty wire harness.

the silverstars however... from all the feedback..are the best bang for the buck and dont require an upgraded harness.

I had JDM yellow Luminics in both headlights and fogs...fogs finally burnt out after 2 years.

They worked great, no upgrading wiring, and it was a nice yellow. I dont have any pics, but they looked good.

The one thing I noticed, was that the foglights in JDM yellow were actually not as "yellow" as the JDM yellow headlights. Wattage difference? I dont think so, I think it had to be because of the more thick hazy foglight "glass".

my .02 cents.

Luninics look nice, but I don't trust them. There is just to many bad experience stories going around about them. Had the titanium white bulbs in for about 3 months, and they got REALLY hot. The wiring, harness, and the front of the light housing were hot to the touch after about 30 min of the headlights being on. I think that they put out more power than they advertise. Bought a pair of PIAA's and I really like them. they don't get nearly as hot as the luminics. I would suggest buying a more reputable brand.

If it matters, my luminics headlights have lasted OVER 1 year. I drive with my lights on all the time...im safe like that while weaving in and out of lanes in my box.

I encourage to read through this entire thread before buying, and base your decision there.

There's some shady tellings on the last few pages.

Granted that it's mostly TC's who are frying their wires with these bulbs, but it could happen to anyone's car. If you do an internet search for luminics you'll see that there are other car forums talking about fried wires also. Just saying to research before using them.
