Default DIY Interior lights to LEDs

So a member asked me to do a simple write up on how to change the Interior lights to LEDs.

First are the bulbs:
the map lights are 194, so for LEDs any will work as long as they are 194 replacements. below is what i used.

DDM Tuning: HID and LED Lighting

the rear over head light and the trunk are both 5050 festoon 31mm bulbs.

now for the steps:
to go the map lights and the rear over head one are the same steps just different bulbs.

us a tiny flathead screw driver and lightly push it it and prey the plastic to slide out. there are two spots, do to each spot before pulling out.

after you have preyed it out a little you can use your fingers to slowly pull it out.

then just pull out the old bulbs and slide the new in.
(note: you might have to prey the prongs of the LED base on both sides before sliding it in to make contact, only do if the bulb will not light up.)

this is just one side of what i mean.

now the trunk
use your tiny flat head again in this spot to slowing prey out the light, if you are doing it right it will pop out easy.

now unplug it

the tanish color plastic you have to just pop each of the four corners off to get to the bulb

now switch bulbs with the Festoon one

If anyone has questions feel free to ask, or if you want to know for another bulb on the 2014 feel free, i might have changed it and if not i can try to find out.

nice! post pics when you do it, also a warning i forgot about, when doing the map lights, that blue piece the bulbs go into, be careful with them, they move easily if i remember and a pain to fish around to get them in place again.

Go with the CREE type because they shoot a crazy amount of light even in one direction
