There are some are OK, but it's better to be safe then sorry.....
Really? Whats the difference between UV and a black light then?
A tube black light is a basically a fluorescent lamp with a different sort of phosphor coating. This coating absorbs harmful shortwave UV-B and UV-C light and emits UV-A light (in the same basic way the phosphor in a fluorescent lamp absorbs UV light and emits visible light). The "black" glass tube itself blocks most visible light, so in the end only benign long-wave UV-A light, along with some blue and violet visible light, passes through.

An incandescent black light bulb is similar to a normal household light bulb, but it uses light filters to absorb the light from the heated filament. It absorbs everything except the infrared and UV-A light (and a little bit of visible light).

Depends on UV LED, some might not cause damage, but some will...
But it's best to avoid UV LED that is near out eye...
It's best to be avoid them then sorry...

Cool, thanks for clarifying. Put the UV's in mostly for show. bu considering the information, will have to figure something else out.

Thanks again for the FYI.

28 Pages and not a single Amber LED user? Or did i miss it? I was interested in using Amber for the domes and super white for the map lights. If anyone has used Amber, i would love to see pics or atleast know if the Amber matches the amber gauges and interior of the tc.?

Also, i seen this used for the dome a few pages back. Would this work well for the license plate lights, since it appears to be very white with no blue color.

Are the amber LEDs (the ones recommended at the beginning of the topic) close to the same color as the amber of the gages?

Also, I don't want something thats too bright if I have to turn it on at night (to look for something, ect.), should I get the x4-LED or stick with the x6-LED?

Sorry if someone already mentioned this, I looked through the topic, but didn't notice it.

the amber bulbs actually put out less light than stock bulbs, but they do cast the same color as the rest of the interior so they match nicely. I used amber for dome lights and the white for the map lights, so if i really need to see something i always use the map lights.

oh and about the amber...

my bro has a new 08 tc.. and i wanted to get him some yellow leds for his parking light but there is no yellow led so i went to the autozone store and got some amber bulb for him... i installed it for him and the color is really good! almost yellow.. much much better than the stock bulbs!!!!
if u need yellow lights try the amber leds!!!! of the amber leds arent that yellow go to an auto store and get those amber bulbs ( they have yellow packaging)
