Headlight Film Install (Rockblocker)
Tools Needed:
Razor Blade (Maybe)
Windex
Paper Towel
What you get:
Applier
2 Covers
Free Samples
Other Rock Blocker Material

First separate your light covers (They should be stuck together)

Clean and dry your headlight thoroughly with some Windex or glass cleaner. Once you have done this dry fit the cover over the headlight to make sure its the right one.

Start off at the inner corner peal back about an inch off the inner corner of the cover, and set it on the light. Use your blue applier to apply the corner to the headlight firmly. When you get the corner on put the headlight cover against the headlight to make sure it’s going to line up. You may have to remove the corner and angle the Cover up or down.

Once you think you have it right, peal back about half inch to an inch of the paper, and once again use the blue applier to apply the film firmly. Your going to peal back an half inch to an inch each time and apply it all the way back to the paper. If you get a bubble pull the film back and re-apply it.

Once you have gotten it all set cut any extra off.

Once you have finished that go around the corners with a hair dryer pressing down firmly to seal it up. Also the tC headlights have lettering on them so turn on the brights and let the film heat up once it heats up go over the letters with the applier.
Here are the final pictures, I fixed the driver side headlight.

Most of the tools you need to do this come in the package along with some samples of Rock Blocker's other products. Instructions are good very detailed. The film is pretty thick and should hold up well. I choose Blue for mine being Chad informed me smoke will have some effect on the headlights brightness. All and all very good mod for the price great looks great Protection.

Paul,
That is a very nice write-up on the headlight protection installation for the tC. Thanks so much doing it for members of this site. I am sure anyone can install the product with these instructions.

These overlays remind me of the ClearGuard Protective overlays JINSU sells. How thick is the film? I'm guessing they are thicker than the film BlueBatmobile uses, but the ClearGuard ones are pretty thick... Is the material breathable?
Also, is it just me or do the overlays not cover the headlight completely? ...or is that an install error?

I was thinking about applying painted eyelids to my headlights. Should I apply this overlay before adhearing the eyelids? Or would i need to trim the film?
Any suggestions?
Also, I've heard some states don't allow colored lens? Anyone have any problems with this?

Miko,
For some reason I couldn't get the Driver side to line up. The pass side went on 123 and covored most of the light. The driver side still covers up most of it there is about a half inch or smaller edge where the film ends and the headlight continues. In that picture it looks weird because the tC has those chrome Eyelids. Non the less im going to buy another set and try that headlight again.

For anyone look for our Light Protection please visit our site here

PS. We choose not to call them overlays since the film is not just tint, but actual light protection. I noticed the driver side being a little short, But as Kaeon said he ran into a little of trouble for the drivers head.
If we cen help with anything else please feel free to let us know.

There's mine. I used alcohol to clean the lights. I'll take better pics at a later date. The install took me about 45 min. Very easy and highly recommended.
I know the mask is not favored, but in this world of SUVs, Trucks (especially the ones with big tires and no flaps) and Big Rigs everywhere it's staying.
Oh and yeah, yeah I know I should of used a tripod. Don't have one, but I'll get one at some point in my life. Thank you though.

I went on to rockblockers site the other day and was snooping around and I came across a disclaimer. I'm sure that its just a mandatory requirement but it said to check with your local law enforcement to make sure they're legal in your area/state. now I'm wondering, anyone in Florida have the blue tinted ones and if so, have you had any problems with the cops?

BTW, I wouldnt call that "snooping" I would call that doing your honework. We have not had or heard of any complaints in the two years that we have been carrying this product. We even have blue on our cars. People are right you can see better at night with them.
