Mudguard Install
I just got the mudguards on friday, put em on in about 30 minutes including gathering tools, putting em on, and cleaning up the tools. very easy install that looks great when you're done, especially on a dark car (mines indigo ink).
Hello Scion Lifers! My first post here! I got my tC two weeks ago and ordered my mudflaps from McGeorgeparts.com.
HUGE thanks to JasonH for the How-To
It took about 30 minutes. I didn't use a drill for the rear ones and the screws did self tap, but boy did my hands get tired from pushing and twisting in! The right front screw on the bottom refused to come out for me. Went to the dealer and they took it out and put the last mudflap on for me! The flaps are almost invisble on FM.
I love this car!! Breaking the engine in gently is a true test of willpower for me!
I've been lurking for about a month b4 getting my car and I want to say THANK YOU to everybody here for all the tips, reviews and opinions
See you on the freeway!

My silver tC would LOVE the road between Ramona and Julian -- nice and winding fun!!! Of course, driving the mountain roads in Maryland is fun, too.

wanted to send my thanks your way for the detailed install instructions! i did mine this afternoon and it was no sweat at all! was definitely skurred to drill into my car though.. hehe.
here are some pics of my install on a silver '06 so peeps can see a lighter colored car w/ the mudguards. i think they look great!

btw.. keep your drill away from your wheels! my b&d firestorm fell forward onto my left rear wheel and nicked the wheel!!!!!! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarg! lol... totally sucked.

So these really won't fit well with the full OEM lip kit?
Damn, cuz I can really use them. How well do they work? Do you still fell little tiny bumps when you clean your car on the front of the door or on the underside.

I just got my set in today in the mail and plan on painting them.. I have a question though. Should I sand them before I paint?
they feel like they're made of a rubberized plastic. im afraid if I sand them, that they will bee to rouch and start chipping off or something.. idk.
