the plug is really called a KO seal or knock out seal. Usually down the electrical isle there really used for junction boxes not sure if its a 3/4" one or 1/2"

yea i attempted to do this today and i got the 3/4" knock out seal and it didnt fit unless i was doing something wrong the diameter for the antenna hole is smaller then 3/4" so i just got a metal plate and used some silicon sealer for now i think a sku number from home depot would help lol

Nice DIY!

I guess you didn't get the time to look up that sku# from Homedepot? you remember which isle or section did you get it from? I'm gonna head to Home Depot and hunt for it I guess!

So how hard was it to use body filler? I'm going to try this, but didn't want the cap and i've never used body filler.

I'm thinking about doing this within the next day or two, but I'm not gonna be repainting my car any time soon so I'd have to do it with the plug rather than body filler... I'm on the fence because I cant decide whether having the plug will actually look worse than the antenna itself. Can anyone post some more pics of this mod done using the plug so I can gauge better if this is something I want to do?

I have an s2k antenna and want to do this, will my reception still be fine? Also how are people doing this without the plug. I love the shaved look, but don't want that nasty plug on my car.
