actually it was made pretty clear through out this thread that one should not reuse the washers. This is also specified in the description of the bushings directly off of doctorisotope.com:
Cable Bushings
These bushings replace the sloppy rubber bushings at the transmission end of the shifter cables with solid delrin. Shifter feel is greatly enhanced, and gear-missing is dramatically reduced.
What's Included:
Cable bushing set: 4 solid delrin cable end bushings. Uses OEM retaining pin (OEM flat washer is not used). $27 shipped.

Just got this done without even taking out the stock intake. Feels awesome! I have the megan short shifter and this made the throws feel easier and smoother than stock. Feels like the shifting in my girlfriends 08 civic now.

so i jus installed mine, is it suppose to feel alot stiffer then stock???
So i installed these today. it was very easy and simple but it was tight to get into the actual stick thingy lol the Holes in the bushing themselves are very tight to get the thing to go threw them so i had to play with that for a bit to get them to go in all the way, then after installing them went inside the car and checked to see it would go into gear fine and it does but it feel very very STIFF/TIGHT in a way. going into gears seem very stiff the whole shifter ingeneral seems stiff. going into first gear it slides in stiff and no click, but going into every gear it clicks but again tight/stiff. is this normal? stock seemed very like "loose/flimsy" this jus seems to feel the gears out is this normal??
