Default Sway Bar Install (Rear, Progress)

I got Progress rear sway bar from http://www.newedgeperformance.com/in...ROD&ProdID=414

tools i use is
14mm socket and
two 14mm Ratchet Wrench.
hex key tool ( 3/16)

Jack up the car with Hand brake on. I removed the rear passenger's tire. it made it easy to slide the sway bar out.

Now remove the those 4 bolts from under the car.

now removing the Endlinks, just the lower nut needs to be remove, You can leave the nut connected to sway bar alone

You need the Hex Key to keep it from turning while removing this nut.

Now slide the bar toward the passenage side where the wheel was removed.
Comparing the Progress Bar and the stock bar. Progress Bar weight almost twice as the stock bar.

Now slide the new bar in.
Cut open the grease tube that come with Progress Bar and grease up the inside of the new bushing.
Put on the new bushing and new brackets. Then tighten the bolts and nuts.

I use the two Ratchet Wrenches to tight the new endlinks.

Passenger side rear view

Driver side rear view

I used the inner hole for firmest setting.

Recheck and re_tighten everything.

i didn't even pay attention to the rust, I though all cars' bottom rust like that. Luck my area don't get much snow or flood.

The Endlink just connect the bar to the car's body. Progress Sway Bar comes with new Endlinks.

I only tested the car in a school's parking lot. Much less body roll. The car feels more solid. HR coilover will be my next mod.

I just installed the rear hotchkis bar and for the life of me can't get the two top bushing bracket bolts to thread back in the holes. Everything else lined up fine and it only took 20 minutes. Hotchkis provided 8mm allen head bolts for clearance, threads area identical to the stock bolts, why won't they take?

place a jack under the opposite wheel hub(rotor) on the other side of the car and jack it up an inch or two, the bolt is just a tad away from alignment, it's not an issue at all, the suspension just needs to be compressed a little bit to give you more space to use with the sway bar.

Why did you pick the progress over the TRD? And are those the Dezod endlinks?

progress come with its own endlinks, and progress is has more adjustment settings than the trd. both from the same company anyway.

It all comes together now. Thank;s for the clarification.

Great DIY. One thing to add to the "To do list" when summer decides to roll around.

yeah same question as to why not the TRD, also seems alot better get cause you don't have to spent more on getting new endlinks.
