I bought my '92 Camry LE V6 in 2001. She's come a long way since then.

well, it did sit for 3 yrs. but recently i swapped in a newer, low mileage JDM motor. also, i gave it a semi decent clay bar/wax job a couple weeks ago.

were those the camry's that had v6 engines with forged internals that were actually making more hp than the toyota supra at that time, so they were actually de-tuned since the supra was supposed to be sportier and more expensive?

 

yes, that is correct. the V6s from '92-94 have the iron block with forged internals that were said to handle ~600hp. the transmissions on the other hand are a different story.

 

lol, oh yeah, that whole saying about how a chain is as strong as its weakest link! LOL.
