Default about the 50 post thing again

like the other post I dont spend my day anywhere near a computer and when i do i dont spend too much time on this site. i do however use the information here and am very glad this site exists. i can understand (to a point) the explaination of having posts before "selling" something. I wanted to post a "wanted" for a stock intake (that i am going to destroy) and yet i still have to post 50 times. will i get flagged or booted if i just post 50 times today?

after this only 48 more to go.
i really do like this site and have done a few of the mods in the tech section. i just dont have all day to spend replying to threads. i am by nature more of a lurker.

If the 50 posts you make are all the essentially 'contentless' "looks nice," "neat mod," "congratulations," "w00t," "Hi!" sort of things.

If they are actual serious posts with some content and have something to add to each thread, no problem.

Another option for some folks who have been here for quite a while, but aren't massive posters is to ask politely if an exception can be made (the Admins are the only ones who can make those exceptions).

Sometimes the rare exception is made, but not often.

Good luck!

(We did just ban a user last night for a 50 post thread of the same post repeated over and over to reach the 50 for PPC...)

"serious post with some content" that is the problem. i dont know a whole lot about xb's and cant really contribute and i am not a "looks nice" etc, guy. wow i have already spent a lot of time here and i have my taxes to do today. fun. maybe i will try tomorrow when i hide from the family.

you could always post somesort of reply every time you walk past your computer. it shouldnt take you that long to reach 50 right?

You don't have to know a lot about Scions to be helpful on this site. The 50 post minimum for PPC and off-topic is there to prevent abuse of the site. Without the limits the forums get spammed big time. Some people complain about the minimums, but I can guarantee that almost EVERYONE will complain if we remove them.

I suggest that you just browse your regional forum and introduce yourself, etc, or help people in your area answer some non-Scion questions. There are plenty of ways to meet the minimum if you are creative.

The mods will frown on anyone that has nothing but fluff for their first 50 posts. Just a warning.

I started a new discussion. hope this helps my cause. also the reason I wanted to get to 50 posts was to post in the wanted section. I found what I was looking for and now the point is mute, but since I am already moving I might as well continue.
