I think it should always be open, jst have a chat time where the highest amount of people will be in it instead of always going in and out to see if anyones in there yet.

Yahoo chats are kewler because of the voice thing. Just think of the possibilities!

meh the voice thing to me isn't that appealing.

btw apparently if your using a greater-than-all apple computer you can use iChat instead of AIM and it lets you do audio AND video.

right Tomas....

Not 'greater-than-all' just 'greater-than-most.'

Yes, iChat (and a number of other available applications) do have features that go beyond what AOL AIM provides - but then, what do you expect, it's AOL!

For now I am going to stick with what is easiest.... but I DO like the idea of a coordinated chat time that will put a surge of people in there at one time. Let's agree on a single time every day..... it should work for both Pacific and Eastern time zones.... so maybe 8PM PST / 11PM EST?

Sam: I've heard AIM for Macs is unstable, that might be it.

I don't know how well these mass chats are gonna work...it's hard enough to follow that room with like 8 people in there. I guess it's worth a shot. The more the merrier.

I don't know if GAIM works with AIM chat, but I guess it's worth a shot.

Sam, just use what came with the Mac - iChat - it's very stable, etc.

I know it works fine, cause that's what I use, too...

(Easiest way to do it is to start up iChat THEN click the link at the top of the main forums page here at ScionLife. You'll end up in the middle of the chat room...)
