common posting etiquette and the lack of
i feel the need to jump out with this instead of searching to see if this was discussed, which i highly doubt it was.
i find it that the majority of the forum threads on here are sort of just too much of a history timeline of he said she said. instead of compiling a thread like a nice book, most of the time you need to read the 150 pages through all the one liner and joking around to get to the real info.
normally this is "okay" on not so serious posts, because this is a relaxed envirnment, but c'mon even on stickied posts and sales posts? if the OP is not going to maintain the thread in an orderly fashion, i suggest the mod edit it.
lastly this is a MUST do for all the merchants. FYI, i come on this forum purely to find info on how to mod my car, and probably putting money in a never ending pit with your hands at the bottom
lets work together to make this a faster process! i don't have the time to waste, and you want your money faster right?
how can you try to sell a product if the purchasing info is not readily available on the first post. Often, there are obvious deal-jacking going on, and sometimes i find it funny that i would rather just buy from someone that jacked the deal with a post that's more organized and earlier in the same thread.
i hope the mods can relay this information to all the vendors, it makes everyone's life easier.
sorry this post probably came out harsh, but please know that is just my past NY attitude, and my personal background, but i am just trying to help.
thanks for listening.

First off... thread jacking is a big no-no around here, and I think the moderators do a pretty good job of cleaning it up, but that work you never see because the offending posts are moved out of public eyes. If you happen to see some thread jacking - whether it be in a sponsored thread or not - please hit that
button at the top right of the post to send a message to the moderators.
Also, please note that OPs do not have the power to edit or delete posts within their thread, regardless of whether or not they are sponsors. I tend to think that most of the sponsors here do an outstanding job of relaying their information in their posts. It is, after all, in their best interest to get the pertinent information out there to the public to ease sales. However, if a topic wanders off from where it should be, it is up to the moderators to come in and make whatever changes need to be made, and the easiest way of letting us know is by hitting that button.

what i mean is some posts look like this
1. hi i m thinking about selling xyz, what do you guys think
2. yeah
3. yeah
4. no
5. yeah dude!!
6. ok, let me work on it
7. ok its done
8. yeah!
9. ok go here to buy it
10. how do i install it?
11. yeah!
12. i got mine it works great
13. oh, here's a new part that's better!
14. where??
15. oh, sorry, go here...
than 100 pages later after all the review, imagine i start reading from first post.....
what i mean is that the OPs should take the responsibility of editing their own post, to make the first post contain pertinent information, so someone that reads post 1 will understand the where when and what. if the OP doesn't do it, here's where the editor/mod comes in. i know this is probably easier said then done, but once a trend starts hopefully users will follow and self police themselfs.

thats the OPs fault (OP=original poster right?) if they want to sell stuff its their responsibility to make the inportant info easy to spot.. preferably first post.
some i guess forget initially in the regular casual exchanges that go on publicly and takes them awhile to do it...
others are just lazy...
you could always post up/pm them the suggestion that they should update their first post with product info/pricing...
but to its not up to the mods(volunteers) to make sure merchants provide the info in the first post.
thoo.... maybe.... not sure if its in the "rules of being a sponsor" but maybe theres something in the sponsor/selling agreement with SL that says its required they should have/update the first post with product info/pricing and how to buy..
if its not..maybe it should be placed in the agreement... after all it can only help the merchant and not hurt them any.

Ya know... this is just like me complaining about the people that drive slowly in the passing lane on the freeway. It is a perfectly valid complaint, and it is perfectly normal for everyone to get frustrated about it... but the reality is that it just isn't going to change. There are always going to be people that don't "get" it, or that just don't care. Its a sad thing, but I have learned to just ignore it.
