CREEPINGONCHROME a user here on ScionLife is having a problem that he can't figure out. He called me and I am trying to assist, but don't know how either.

He has changed email services and now no longer has access to his old email address. He has also forgotten his password and FireFox has been logging him in with it's own memory.

Now, he can't edit his account to change his email address to the new one, and can't have his password emailed to him because his account is still set up on his old email address.

So, he needs to have his ScionLife account changed to the correct email address so that he can retrieve his password, but can't do that because the email address for his old account is closed . . . see the infinite loop of insanity here?

How can he find out his password for the account without having access to the email address that is currently listed on ScionLife? OR how can he change his email address listed currently so that he can make changes from now on?

Please advise!

 

I run FireFox,he shouldn't have had his comp remember his password,thats why he gets signed in automatically

have him make a new e-mail and SL account,and tell him not to have FireFox remember the e-mail and password and it should be OK

 

He can have FireFox show him his password.

Tools -> Options -> Security -> Show Passwords

^^ at the top of the screen, click on profile. that will bring up your profile.

click on "edit" on the vitals side, and then it will load another page, with the options to change email address, password, avatar, and signature and what not.
