If you use Firefox, there is an extension called phpBB User Hide that will allow you to hide posts from users you don't want to see. Puts an {x} next to username and if you want to ignore them, you just click on it. You will still see that they posted but not the text of their posts. You can click to see individual posts after that or click the {x} again to remove them from the Hide List.

Sorry, but that isn't part of the current forum software. The next version of phpbb will have that integrated into the features, so once it is released and we upgrade you will have that option.
